WHO WE ARE
StarBright is a professional songwriting resource, educational tool, and seminar contributor, founded by award-winning professional singer/songwriter, speaker, author, community leader, and seminar instructor Paula Carpenter, ASCAP, NSAI, NARAS.
Paula has served as a staff songwriter for various Nashville publishers, such as industry giants EMI, BMG, and others, since 1987, and has only recently formed her own publishing wings, LIKE A DIAMOND MUSIC, BMI, and WISH I MAY WISH I MIGHT MUSIC, ASCAP, representing the work of a small group of outstanding writers, as well as her own.
Her songs run the gamut from Country to Pop to Contemporary Christian...she has recently had songs recorded by country heart-throb MICHAEL PETERSON, pop diva JESSICA SIMPSON, Capitol Nashville's SUSAN ASHTON, "Everything Changes" artist KATHY TROCCOLI, and more.
Her CCM songs have been recorded and performed by a wide variety of artists, including 4Him, Basix, Crystal Gayle, Tony Melendez, Bruce Carroll, Truth, the Nelons, Sara Paulson and many more. Her print music has found it's way into many churches, youth events, holiday collections, worship gatherings and choirs.
In addition to her own writing career, Paula now offers consulting services for independent artist and writers, expanding on something she has always done at every opportunity:
Helping aspiring songwriters in ALL geographic locales reach their dreams...of getting their songs to a more professional level, and in front of more publishers, producers,and other Music Industry professionals.
